no way i can pin down number one. but searching for bobby fischer always sucks me in.
"don't move until you see it!"
I believe it would be Little Women.
I won't tell you my favorite movie, because you wouldn't like it (unless you're into black-and-white 1934 classic movies starring Clark Gable).
But here is a list of my other favorite movies that you should check out if you have not seen them yet: Spider-man, Spider-man II, Equilibrium, The Adventures of Robin Hood, Captain Blood, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Sword in the Stone, Witness for the Prosecution, Twelve Angry Men, Chariots of Fire, Condorman, Kidnapped, Scarlet Pimpernel, The Princess Bride, The Scarlet and the Black, Star Wars IV and V and VI, How to Steal a Million, The Count of Monte Cristo, Indiana Jones, and The Great Escape
"Aye, fight and you may die, run, and you'll live... at least for a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!"
one of my tops is The Iron Giant..i'm freaking in love with hogarth hughes.
"welcome to downtown coolsville. population? us!"
"and stop the devil ::shaking head vigourously::: from..doing bad things!! and get outta here, satan? so that we may livve in peace. amen gotta go t' thabathroom. "
sarah harr! i love twelve angry men. i just thought i'd let you know. it's a favorite of mine.
also, the village
is so beautiful to me.
i don't even have to say anything about the iron giant. i'm with kyrie.
Annie, if you liked "Twelve Angry Men," you should really watch "Witness for the Prosecution." The book that the movie is based on was written by Agatha Christie, and it is fantastic.
Henry Fonda isn't in it, though. :(
Most of my favorite movies are probably not going to enthrall a 12-year-old boy, but I will say that Henry V (Kenneth Branagh version) is pretty dang good. The St. Crispen's Day speech and the Non Nobis scene will always cause my heart to beat a little faster.
And the scene between Henry (Kenneth Branagh) and the French princess (his then wife Emma Thompson) is just...adorable. Which might not be a 12-year-old boy's cup of tea, but you know what the grandfather said in Princess Bride "Some day you might not find it so bad."
Anyway. You might have seen it already, but all I have to say about that is "See it again!!"
The end.
The Sting, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid... most Paul Newman/Robert Redford films are wonderful.
12 Angry Men = one of the best films ever made!
My grandfather roomed with Paul Newman in college.
i babysat for goldie hawn's sister's kids.
we all got it comin!
